Republicans are so efficient.  It took them only 10 years in power to become as corrupt as the Democrats were after 40 years in control.

You may not know this but many non-living things have a gender.

  1. Ziploc Bags are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.
  2. Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again.
  3. A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it’s often over inflated.
  4. A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there’s the hot air part.
  5. Sponges are Female, because they’re soft, squeezable and retain water.
  6. A Web Page is Female, because it’s always getting hit on.
  7. A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.
  8. An Hourglass is Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.
  9. A Hammer is Male, because it hasn’t changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it’s handy to have around.
  10. A Remote Control is Female.  Ha!  You thought it’d be male, didn’t you?  But consider this – it gives a man pleasure, he’d be lost without it, and while he doesn’t always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!

Innovators are inevitably controversial.

This is really disturbing…apparently our drivers license info is available on the net…picture and all.  Anyways, you can also remove it…just use this link: www.license.shorturl.com.

People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn’t true.  I was not tired physically, or no more tired than I usually was at the end of a working day.  I was not old, although some people have an image of me as being old then.  I was 42.  No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.

Rosa Parks, whose simple act of defiance, refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus 50 years ago, helped launch the civil-rights movement.  Parks died this week at age 92.

A second flood, a simple famine,
Plagues of locusts everywhere,
Or a cataclysmic earthquake,
I’d accept with some despair.
But no, You sent us Congress!
Good God, Sir, was that fair?

John Adams’ prayer, from the movie “1776″

With the prospect of a influenza outbreak of pandemic proportions, major earthquakes, tsunami’s and hurricane’s in the last year; you begin to wonder if the planet earth is trying to rid itself of the “infestation” of hominids.

But don’t worry, because it will soon be Hallothankholinenewyear, that season of the year when we can forget all our troubles and celebrate.

I have a habit, while driving of making words out of the acronyms on license plates.  Yesterday I was out on some errands, and was stuck behind a guy that had the Minnesota plate PRK-050.  Which naturally was transformed into, “Prick number fifty.”  I know that it was a guy and that it was an appropriate decoding of his license plate, because it was on a Hummer H3.
