March 2009

After a long weekend of sickness, similar to the aftermath of the seizures he experience several times before, we decided to put Grady down.  Now the rabbit population in the back yard will explode.

We’ll miss you Grady.

Saturday evening, Daniel texted me with, “Whats that one pianist that plays with another person on one piano.”  Did he mean duet?  I couldn’t tell.

It took a call to him to figure out what the hell he meant, which was, “who” and it turned out to be Victor Borge who I had exposed him to by making him watch a PBS special about the great musical comedian.

That led him to sending me a link for Tim Minchin.  Then I sent him links to Victor Borge and Chico Marx.

Enjoy.

The question was, “Does twittering make you a twit?”

That was the question posed this morning in a commentary by Nancy Giles on CBS Sunday Morning

The news this week that there is a new line of Star Trek colognes would surely have sent Gene into a spin (too bad his ashes were sent into space) that he didn’t think of it.  It’s unfortunate that TOS didn’t have the advantage of structured merchandizing that really took off after Star Wars.

I can hardly wait for the movie this summer…
