Makes you wonder what we could do if we had universal health care and took care of all our citizens, like they do in the rest of the first world.  I wonder what kind of productivity improvements and growth we could engender if everyone didn’t stay in crappy jobs just to have healthcare?

After putting down a dog and a cat, and sending the other cat off with Daniel to Purdue for the semester.  We finally decided that we really needed a pet, so we went to the Saint Paul Animal Shelter on Tuesday, and picked up this cute boy.

He had a really stupid name for a cat, Andrew, so we changed it to Prince of Darkness, or Prince for short.

He does not seem to me to be a free man who does not sometimes do nothing.
