About

Dr. Wingnut was much cuter when he was a childUSA Flag

Dr. Wingnut is: _|()|\|4+}{4n £0®|)

His birthday is Independence day, the 4th of July; so he gets fireworks for his birthday every year.  Isn’t he special.

Does the Dr. have a Ph.D.?

No.  Dr. Wingnut has a Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering, so he may know what he is talking about, but probably not.  However, the doctor is frequently called to perform as an object psychiatrist; performing analysis on software objects, which have issues and are behaving badly.

Why is the Dr. a Wingnut?

Because the doctor was blessed with ears that protrude from the side of his head; his loving sister-in-law decided he resembled a wingnut.  Since the doctor never had a nickname other than “Grouper,” when he was in High School; it stuck and since that time, he has been known as “Wingnut.”  It could also be because the good doctor is nuts.

Dr. Wingnut is: A Geek

One who pursues skill (especially technical skill) and imagination, not mainstream social acceptance.  Most geeks are adept with computers and treat hacker as a term of respect.”The Jargon File

Why does the Dr. have a blog?

I’m just a gigantic collection of trivia, so when two pieces connect, I try to forward it on.  That’s why I had to build a blog; too much trivia to contain in the cranium, so now it goes into a central repository.

Dr. Wingnut’s Razor

Unexplored, Unexposed, Unexpressed, Your Whole Life is a Mistake.

Compiled by Dr. Wingnut out of the text of two advertisements in the Wall Street Journal when he was in Hotel School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
