Artificial Intelligence

Machine intelligence and human intelligence are not comparable (Computer, Nov. 2003, pp. 120, 118-119).  Machine intelligence is a computational phenomenon, human intelligence a social one.  Computing professionals do great social harm when they portray their machinery as anything but tools to amplify human accomplishment and originality.
