My friend Kirk invited me to the bicycle track racing at the National Sports Center Velodrome last night. Naturally I forgot my camera so there are no pictures to share, and the riding wasn’t as exciting as Floyd Landis’ stage win at the Tour de France yesterday, but it was really interesting to see all the different kinds of track races that they run. It was an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening, and apparently they have open track at some point, so we’ll probably go out to ride.
There were somre really sweet bikes there, and we saw a helmet that had an integrated flasher in the strap across the back of the head; I gotta get one of those.
