More fun on Sebago

The day got started late.  Since we didn’t finish the Trivial Pursuit game until 00:30 following a rendition of Happy Birthday to me at midnight and then lots of playing our favorite novelty songs for another half hour to each other, we really didn’t get out of bed until 10:00, then by the time I got some breakfast made and was doing the dishes, the whole clan descended on the camp.

There were kids running around, and people in and out of the cabin, and a quick thunderstorm that cooled off the place, but produced very little rain.

Daniel and I visited with a bunch of folks and did a little swimming.  Since we had eaten late, I skipped lunchtime, and grazed for the entire day.  Daniel had a burger then, but by the time 17:00 came around, we were both itching for an Amato’s sandwich, so we went with Martha into North Windom to do some errands and grabbed some sandwiches to bring back to the camp.

Amato Italians are the most wonderful things; simple really, but great taste… the bread isn’t much, with a couple of slices of provolone, a couple of slices of boiled ham, tomato slices, green peppers, calamata olives, a little salad oil, and the secret ingredient, sour pickle slices.  They don’t mess them up with anything else; lettuce or hot peppers or anything and they are terrific.  Well worth a 1,500 mile road trip.

All in all a very nice birthday.
