New iPhone?

It seems suspicious to me that today, I got a message from a regular discounting source that they have iPhone5 cases on sale.  That would seem to me to be an indication of either; over optimistic case manufacturing, or that they have inside knowledge that something is going to happen in the iPhone market and they are trying to dump inventory.
