Minnesota became the 12th state to approve marriage equality. The Governor will sign the bill today at a 1700 hour ceremony, and the law will take effect 2013-08-01. I was hoping that we would pass a bill just after Iowa courts changed the law there, but alas, we had to wait for all of New England to pass the law and the Republicans to be kicked out of the Governor’s chair and both houses of the Legislature.
