The other day I got a postcard from an outfit called Global Knowledge that wanted me to go to their site to register to see if I was the winner of A FREE Blockbuster Night Card (Two movie rentals, Two 20oz Coke’s, and One tub of microwave popcorn). Ok, I’m a geek, but I’m not stupid. I know what they’re up to; they’re verifying their mailing list and trying to suck me into some Networking training. But, honestly; what geek in their right mind wants to look like this? I mean, the guy doesn’t even have a pocket protector for cripes sake! And don’t even get me started on those shades…
PS: I missed eight out of the twenty questions which gets me a “D”; but in graduate school we knew that “D” stood for “Diploma.” Guess I need to take one of their training classes to refresh that knowledge that has leaked out of my brain.
PPS: When I showed this to Mrs. Wingnut, she said, “Are you an it superstar? What does that mean… Oh; I get it! I-T, not it.”
