Thinking

Thinking thoughts doesn’t make us bad and thinking thoughts doesn’t make them happen.

Alien Smith

Sometimes we get scared by the things we think.  We start to worry that our thoughts may become reality.  We might believe our thoughts are so strange that no one else could possibly think the same things.  As teenagers, we might worry about losing control and killing a loved one.  Having thought this once, we can become obsessed with worry about it.

Obsessive thinking can make us sick.  We can get help to control obsessive thinking.  We also need to remember that many other people have had the same troublesome thoughts and fears and have gotten over them.

Today let me trust that there is nothing I think or do that is too bad to tell someone else.
