It just goes to show you that no matter how long you’ve been somewhere, there’s always something hiding just under you nose. I’ve lived in the same neighborhood for over twenty years, and I think this establishment, The Photographer’s Guild has been around as long as I’ve been a resident, but I just noticed something interesting on their sign the other day when I stopped for the light at Snelling and Selby avenues. I don’t know if they did it to be funny, but it caught my eye and I thought it was amusing.
Their sign under the name of the business says, “Weddings • Portraits • Commercial • Geo-political consultation.” I wonder how geopolitical consultation fits into the business plan of a photography studio… could it be that the proprietor is a poly-sci major who drifted into photography and stuck there?
